Many believe that technology is impartial and rely on it to eliminate discrimination based on gender, race or other biases that may affect human judgment. However, as data-driven systems become more prevalent in our daily lives, we are becoming more aware of ways these systems can reinforce, rather than eliminate, health inequities.

The first session titled Sovereignty from First Breath featured the work of the Alaska Native Birthworkers Community and discussed how to connect to support systems.
