Gracious God, hope of those who call to you,
we pray for our sisters and brothers who are approaching the end of life. Help us to be of comfort to them in their last earthly hours. May they experience freedom from distress, spiritual healing, and true consolation and trust in you. When they take their last breath, receive them to yourself with mercy and love, so that they may share happiness, peace, and the fullness of life with you forever. Through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes and in the name of your Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
